Where Heritage Meets Mzansi Style

History brought to life with modern Mzansi flavour! We had the honour of designing a bold website for photographer Luke Dollimore, whose lens captured one of the most iconic moments in South African history: Nelson Mandela casting his ballot. Some images transcend the moment they were taken and they become part of a nation's memory, and this was one of them. Our challenge was to build a digital space worthy of that image: one that honoured its historical weight while giving it a platform to reach a new generation. Now that powerful photograph lives on as trendy T-shirts for a new generation to celebrate, carrying the story forward in a way that feels current rather than nostalgic. Our design? A tribute to the dynamic spirit of the Rainbow Nation, balanced with the weight of this historic moment. Bold typography and vibrant colour reflect the energy of modern South Africa, while generous space around the imagery lets the photograph itself take centre stage a website that feels both celebratory and respectful.
